My research focuses on learning and mining from graphs, time series, event logs and patents.

I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Systems Engineering & Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. I majored in information systems and worked on graph mining in the database group supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Xu Yu. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the Computer Science & Technology Department at Nanjing University, China in 2002.

From 2011 to 2015, I conducted research related to the future application and convergent experience as a research engineer in Huawei Technologies. From 2005 to 2006, I was with Globe Software Group, Motorola, as a software engineer, feature leader, and test coordinator. From 2004 to 2005, I was a visiting research associate in the database group supervised by Prof. Xuemin Lin in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales, Australia.
