My research focuses on learning and mining from graphs, time series, event logs and patents.

I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Systems Engineering & Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I majored in information systems and worked on graph mining in the database group supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Xu Yu. I was a visiting research associate in the database group supervised by Prof. Xuemin Lin in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales, Australia. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the Computer Science & Technology Department at Nanjing University, China.

I was a research engineer and conducted research related to the future application and convergent experience in Huawei Technologies. In the distant past, I was with Globe Software Group in Motorola as a software engineer, feature leader, and test coordinator.
