I am recruiting one self-motivating part-time research assistants from undergraduate students with good programming skills and fast learning ability (Good English is a plus.) for academic projects related to data mining. Living allowances are available. Please send me an email or drop by during my office hour.
My research focuses on mining and querying large graph data, mining event logs in network management, mining patents, and many other application-oriented mining tasks.
I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Systems Engineering & Engineering Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. I majored in information systems and worked on graph mining in the database group supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Xu Yu. I obtained my Bachelor degree from the Computer Science & Technology Department in Nanjing University, China in 2002.
From 2011 to 2015, I conducted research related to future application and convergent experience as a research engineer in Huawei Technologies. From 2005 to 2006, I was with Globe Software Group, Motorola, as a software engineer, feature leader, and test coordinator. From 2004 to 2005, I was a visiting research associate in the database group supervised by Prof. Xuemin Lin in School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of New South Wales, Australia. From 2000 to 2002, I was in the LAMDA (Learning And Mining DatA) Group supervised by Prof. Zhi-Hua Zhou.
